The unanswerable EU

The unanswerable EU

This image shows the structure of the european union. Let me ask you this. What happens when the commission creates a new law that the majority don’t like? Well the law doesn’t (or sometimes does) get through the european parliament. So what happens if this keeps happening? Nothing because none of the commissioners can be removed by the general public. They are unaccountable, unanswerable and unmovable.

I’ve been thinking the same thing since the EU was first being brought about (that and the Euro is about the silliest idea ever – a child could tell it makes no sense to force everyone into the same financial system! Different countries produce at different rates and have different rates of government waste! No one *cough Germany cough* should be forced to uphold the laziness of others *cough Greece*.)
